Could Tesla be Worth $645 Per Share?
Could Tesla’s stock – which trades for $175 as I type this – be worth $645 per share?
Tesla (Nasdaq: $TSLA) has had its doubters all the way up — and it’s mostly proven them wrong. But, trees don’t grow to the sky, and today’s Tesla is already the 12th largest public company in the US by market cap; Nvidia notwithstanding, it’s not often that big companies suddenly get much bigger.
Simon Erickson of 7investing.com has produced a valuation model claiming that if demand for Tesla’s fully self-driving feature (including the upcoming robo-taxi service) takes off as planned, Tesla’s stock could be worth $645. Meanwhile, if Tesla is valued just as a car company, it’s worth $104.
